2016 French Open Roland Garros
The 2016 French Open, also known as the Roland Garros, is one of the best known of the major tennis Grand Slam tournaments.
This wonderful competition is well known as being the best clay court championship in the world and is held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. The Roland Garros French Open is usually held for two weeks during May and June and in 2016 it will be held between the 16th May and the 5th June 2016.
If you’re interested in tennis and want to see a major competition then maybe you should think about a trip to Paris. Clay courts offer a relatively slower playing surface than grass and the Roland Garros is therefore considered to be one of the most physically demanding tennis grand slams in the world.
The Stade Roland Garros is located in the centre of Paris and a stones throw from the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine. As such, there are great transport links to get you around the city and to the stadium itself.
