The local town of St Cast le Guildo offers visitors a variety of coastal walks and the beach is wonderfully sandy and great for a day out.

Le Grand Aquarium de St Malo
Le Grand Aquarium de St Malo is one of the best aquariums in France and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Brittany. Boasting over 10000 fish encompassing 600 different species, the aquarium has a lot to keep visitors busy including a 360 degree shark pool, a touching pool where you can get close to the aquariums inhabitants and even a small submarine.
Fort La Latte
Fort La Latte is a spectacular 13th century castle located around 16km away from Chateau de Galinee high atop of the cliffs along the Cote d’Emeraude. For history and heritage lovers, Fort La Latte is well worth the visit and on a sunny day the castle and surroundings are perfect for those photographers amongst you.
Dinan is one of the most picturesque and photographed towns in the region. The old town is the main draw of Dinan being located on the side of the hill. With ramparts measuring around 3km, its 13th century Chateau and a variety of historical building and cobbled streets, it’s really not surprising that Dinan is so popular with tourists from around the globe.
St Cast le Guildo
The local town of St Cast le Guildo lies a mere 7km away from Chateau de Galinee campsite. A popular seaside resort St Cast le Guildo has a great range of cafes, restaurants and bars along with 7 wonderful sandy beaches within easy reach. If you’re looking for a bit of exercise and some great photo opportunities, we suggest a walk along the coastal footpaths. In either direction from St Cast le Guildo you will find a plethora of stunning scenery.
Chateau Bourbansais and Zoo
Around 44km south east of Chateau de Galinee lies Chateau Bourbansais. Both the Chateau and zoo can be visited separately and are well worth the visit. The grounds of this wonderful 16th century Chateau are home to in excess of 500 animals from around the globe including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wolves, birds, lions, tigers and many more. Although there is a restaurant on site we recommend you take a picnic as there are plenty of open spaces to sit, eat and enjoy the environment.
