Domaine d’Oleron

Domaine d'Oleron Campsite, Royan

Domaine d’Oleron is a fairly small and quiet campsite located on the Ile d’Oleron which is just south of La Rochelle, on the west coast of France.

Although Domaine d’Oleron is smaller and boasts fewer activities than some of the larger campsites in the region, it’s perfect for those looking to relax and for a more traditional campsite.

Why we recommend booking Domaine d’Oleron:

Fly or drive holiday.
Plenty to see and do in the area.
Wonderful island to explore.
Nice peaceful campsite.
Great for relaxation and young families.

What Domaine d’Oleron lacks in size it makes up for in charm. You’ll find a lovely pool complex, with a great family pool, children’s swimming pool, plunge pool and a selection of slides to keep the children happy during those warm sunny days.

You’ll also find a lovely sandy beach just 3km from Domaine d’Oleron which offers children the chance to play in the sand, build sandcastles, paddle or swim in the sea and most importantly of all, have lots and lots of fun.

One of the best things about Domaine d’Oleron is the chance it gives you to explore the local area. For those days when you fancy getting out and exploring, we suggest you take a trip to La Rochelle and the less popular but underrated town of Rochefort.

La Rochelle is filled with history and culture but Rochfort is steeped in history which can be seen in it’s naval ship building yards which date back to the 17th century.

Domaine d’Oleron is not for everyone! If you’re looking for a fun filled, lively, large campsite, then steer clear but for those looking for a traditional, smaller, peaceful family holiday then please take a look.
