Eating Out

We’d like… – Nous aimerions…
A table for two – Une table pour deux.
Waiter, a menu please – Monsieur, le menu,s’il vous plaît.
The wine list, please – La carte des vins, s’il vous plaît.
Appetizers – les hors-d’oeuvre.
Main course – le plat principal.
Dessert – les desserts
What would you like? – Que désirez-vous?
What would you like to drink? – Que désirez-vous boire?
Can you recommend a good wine? – Pouvez-vous nous recommander un bon vin?
A bottle (glass) of wine, please – Une bouteille (une verre) de vin, s’il vous plaît.
Beer, please – Une bière, s’il vous plaît.
The check, please – L’addition, s’il vous plaît.

Apple – la pomme
Orange – l’orange
Banana – la banane
Strawberry – la fraise
Raspberry – la framboise
