Is the Euro here to stay?
Troubling times for the Euro
It’s a fact that times are tough for the Euro currency! We’ve all seen the recent Euro meetings on the news but for the time being it looks as if the Euro is here to stay.
Whether you love or hate the Euro, we’ll all be using them when we go camping in France until further notice.
If you’ve never been camping in France you may not be aware that Euros come in the following note denominations: 500, 200, 100, 50 ,20, 10 and 5
Euro’s also come in also 2 and 1 Euro coins with cents for lower amounts. There are 100 cent to each Euro and these come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent coins.
We’ll keep an eye on the situation and if we hear of any changes to the Euro you can be sure we’ll let you know.
Don’t forget to check out our information on prepaid currency cards.
We’ve been using them for years and we have to admit, they’re a lot easier than carrying around vast amounts of cash or traveller’s cheques. They can be topped up whilst you’re in France by text or phone.
The flexibility of a prepaid card means that you can even pay for goods where you see the Visa or Mastercard symbol and you can withdraw cash from most ATM’s.
We think you’ll like them so much that you won’t return to taking large amounts of cash or traveller’s cheques ever again.
