Le Bois de Valmarie is a small yet wonderful campsite which can be found at Argeles sur Mer, on the south coast of France.
The campsite itself benefits from some wonderful views across the bay and is just 200 metres from a beautiful sandy beach which is perfect for children and adults of all ages.
Why we recommend booking Le Bois de Valmarie campsite:
Excellent fly/drive holiday.
Lots of great attractions nearby.
Near to a great beach.
Great location in the south of France.
As we’ve already said, Le Bois de Valmarie is a fairly small campsite and as such it doesn’t have as many activities on offer as some of the larger campsites in the area. Saying that what Le Bois de Valmarie does offer is a great place to relax. The beach is fantastic and the swimming pool boasts 2 great pools and a wonderful array of water slides.
What the campsite lacks in activities it more than makes up for in charm and facilities. There’s a great restaurant, snack bar and take away and the local town has a great range of other eateries where you can enjoy some of the local food and produce.

Located around 74km to the west of Le Bois de Valmarie, Villefranche de Conflent is a beautiful town set at the point where the El Cadi and La Tet rivers merge.
The town is that stunning that’s its been classified as both a UNESCO world heritage site and also as “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France” one of the most beautiful villages in France!
The town boast a great deal of history and dates back to the 11th Century. The main attraction of the town is its fortifications which were overhauled in the 17th Century by the great engineer Vauban. You’ll also find Fort Liberia in Villefranche de Conflent which is a spectacular sight.
