Younger children all love to visit the magical world of Disney and see all of their favourite characters come to life. They’ll also enjoy some of the smaller rides whilst older children and teenagers will love the thrills of more impressive rides such as Indiana Jones or Space Mountain. Families love to spend happy moments together and adults without children generally act like children themselves.
Disneyland® Park is a magical kingdom where dreams really do come true. There are 5 magical lands where all of Disney’s loved heroes and heroines come to life. These include Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Adventureland and Discoveryland. Simply choose your perfect land, then explore the sights, sounds and rides on offer, not forgetting the many Disney characters to see along the way.
Main Street USA
Main Street USA takes visitors back to the small towns that existed in America in the 1900’s where you’ll find horse drawn carriages, ice cream parlours, old Victorian style shops and even a steam train.
As it’s name suggest, your fairytale journey begins in Fantasyland! All of Disney’s most famous stories and characters are here in Fantasyland including Disneyland’s® most notable structure, Sleeping Beauty’s castle! Also within Fantasyland you can check out Alice in Wonderland’s curious labyrinth, join Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, fly with Dumbo the elephant, take a spin in the Mad Hatter’s tea cups or take a flight with Peter Pan, the choice is yours!
YeeHa! Go and grab your chaps, spurs and cowboy hat for your trip to the Wild West with Frontierland. A trip to Frontierland will take you back to the days of the gold rush and cowboys and Indians. Jump in a mine truck and take a ride along the Big Thunder Mountain ride or jump aboard the paddle steamboat for a cruise along the river. Then there’s Pocahontas Indian Village for children and you can even take a shot in the Rustler Roundup Shootin’ Gallery. Whatever you choose to do, you’re bound to have a rip-roaring time.
Advertureland, as its name suggests is the place you want to head to if you’re after bucket loads of action. Here you can imitate some of your Disney heroes such as Indiana Jones as you take on the Temple of Peril ride or swashbuckle your way through the Pirates of the Caribbean ride like Captain Jack Sparrow himself!
If you prefer the more futuristic Disney films then maybe you should take a look at Discoveryland. Filled with all things “Space”, you’ll find everything from Buzz Lightyear to Star Wars at Discoveryland, including the famous Space Mountain ride.
Walt Disney Studios® Park
Walt Disney Studios® Park allows you to find out more about the world of Disney cinema, tv and animation. You’ll find a massive range of fantastic attractions and rides within the park and you’ll also be able to find out a lot more about some of Disney’s famous characters.
At regular times you’ll be able to see a variety of characters wandering around with whom you can get your photo taken. There’s also a number of parades throughout the day and evening which will keep you amused.

Best time visit Disneyland® Paris
The great thing about Disneyland® Paris is that it operates year round. This obviously allows you plenty of flexibility in your choice of dates, accommodation and also in what you wish to see when you visit!
As with a resort of Euro Disney’s size you’d expect them to cater for a variety of different events and special times of the year. If you’re interested in seeing something really special then a trip to Disneyland® Paris during any of the following magical times of the year could be for you.
Disney at Christmas includes a Christmas festival parade, Christmas lights, fireworks and even a meet and greet with Santa himself. Disney at Halloween puts the spooky in Disney with ghosts and pumpkins galore. During bonfire night Mickey Mouse and friends put on a wonderful firework display offering you the chance to see a real firework spectacular. There are also a variety of other events throughout the year to fill you with joy and excitement.
One thing to remember when planning your trip to Disneyland® Paris is the time of year and weather. During the summer months the weather in this area can be very hot and likewise during winter months it can be very cold so please remember to take this into account.
Where to stay?
The great thing about Disneyland® Paris is its location which means that you have a variety of options when it comes to, where to stay. Now Disneyland® Paris of course has it’s own range of superb themed resort hotels but you could also choose to stay at a hotel in Paris or alternatively at one of the fantastic campsites that are located nearby.
The great thing about staying at a hotel in Paris or at one of the great campsites is that you are then free to explore the surrounding area and of course the attractions of Paris at your leisure.

Disneyland® Hotel is the jewel in the crown of the available hotels at Disneyland® Paris and is styled in the theme of a fairytale castle. The hotel can be found right opposite the entrance to the park and is one of the favourite hotels at this wonderful theme park. As with all of the Disneyland® hotels, you’ll receive a brilliant level of service however at Disneyland® Hotel you’ll also find a variety of famous characters from time to time which is a massive bonus for those with young children.
Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne®
At Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne® you’ll get a taste for the wild west. Based on an old western town Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne® is filled to the brim with everything cowboy. You’ll find a saloon, shop and restaurant along with pony rides and plenty of cowboys. The main park is just 15 minutes walk away or you can jump on one of the free shuttle busses. If you’ve got a little cowboy or cowgirl in your family, a stay at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne® should be on the cards.
Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe®
Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe® is based upon the wonderful Disney Pixar movie “Cars”. Take a trip to the south west of America, the famous route 66 and New Mexico whilst you eat, drink, sleep and relax after your busy day at the park. A 20 minute walk or short free journey on one of the shuttle busses and you’ll find yourself at the Disneyland Park where you can enjoy all the highlights.
Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch®
Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch® offers the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the main park. Located a short drive from the park Disney’s Davy Crockett Ranch® takes you off into pioneer world with a stay in a lovely woodland cabin. One of the best things about this accommodation is the fact you get access to a wonderful tropical swimming pool complex which boasts a pool, cascades and even a jacuzzi.
Disney’s Sequoia Lodge®
Disney’s Sequoia Lodge® is great for those who love nature. Set on the edge of the lake, Disney’s Newport Bay Club® is based upon the lakeside home you’d have found dotted around Cape Cod in the 1870. Filled with all thing nautical, the hotel even boasts it’s own lighthouse along with a great selection of restaurants, bars, fitness area and of course, swimming pools.
Disney’s Hotel New York®
The last on our list is Disney’s Hotel New York®. Based on the glamour and wonder of New York in the 1930’s you’ll find a great deal of art deco style and glamour in this wonderful hotel.
