The campsite lies on the edge of a national park and is surrounded by stunning snow capped mountains and lush green pastures. - Grottes de Betharram – The Grottes de Betharram feature some of the most beautiful cave formations in Europe and a visit here is well worthwhile. Visitors to the caves can explore the system by train, boat and also by foot which is unlike many other caves in the region. You’ll also find the caves stacked in storeys one on top of the other similar to the layers of a house which is most impressive.
- Parc Animalier des Pyrenees – Set within 14 hectares of nature Parc Animalier des Pyrenees is home to over 600 animals . Parc Animalier des Pyrenees is well worth a visit as it was voted one of the best parks in France. At the park you can see a variety of different birds and animals including bears, vultures, racoons, otters and wolves.
- Pic du Midi – Located high in the mountains you’ll find the Pic du Midi. Reached by cable car this fantastic observatory is well worth visiting due to it’s amazing views and clear blue skys. Due to its location please ensure you take warm clothing for the cold and a camera for the views.
- Luz-Saint-Sauveur – Luz-Saint-Sauveur must be visited when you’re staying at Airotel Pyrenees. This beautiful town is picturesque and offers a variety of restaurants, shops and bars. There is also a fantastic music festival in June and fete in August to keep you busy.
