- Grottes de Betharram – The Grottes de Betharram feature some of the most beautiful cave formations in Europe and a visit here is well worthwhile. Visitors to the caves can explore the system by train, boat and also by foot which is unlike many other caves in the region. You’ll also find the caves stacked in storeys one on top of the other similar to the layers of a house which is most impressive.
- Parc Animalier des Pyrenees – This fantastic animal park is located within 14 hectares of nature and is home to over 600 hundred animals . Voted one of the best animal parks in France, you’ll be able to see a whole variety of different animals and birds at the park including vultures, bears, racoons, otters, wolves and many more.
- Pic du Midi – The Pic du Midi is a fantastic observatory high in the mountains. Reached by cable car this stunning site is well worth visiting with amazing views of the mountains, stars and clear blue sky. If you plan on visiting the Pic du Midi, please ensure you take warm clothing and a camera.
- Luz-Saint-Sauveur – The local town of Luz-Saint-Sauveur is a must visit when you’re staying at Airotel Pyrenees. This attractive and modern resort offers a variety of restaurants, shops and bars and the music festival in June and fete in August are worthwhile visiting.
