This small yet wonderful campsite lies on the Ile de Re which is just off the western coast of France.
Ideal for those who wish to relax, it’s a great family friendly campsite that is set within around 5 hectares of grounds in a lovely location.
To get to the campsite you’ll have to travel along a narrow lane that runs through the salt marshes. Although the nearby village of Loix is the smallest on the island, you’ll find it’s also one of the most secluded.
Those looking to discover the local area and the island’s history and culture, will do it best on two wheels. This is because the island boasts a myriad of cycle tracks and routes. These routes link the major towns and villages on the island and extend to 60 miles. Furthermore, they allow you to get around and explore some otherwise unseen scenery.
Although it’s one of the smaller campsites it still offers a fantastic range of activities and facilities.
As you’d expect from an island campsite, you’re never really that far away from a stunning beach. The nearest beach is a mere 750m away from the campsites entrance.
The beaches not only provide the perfect place for families to relax but also somewhere that they can have fun.
If you’re a little more active then don’t feel worried as you’ll also find that there are a variety of water sports available nearby.
One of the great things about the campsite other than its fantastic location is the lovely swimming pool area. A family pool, children’s pool, toddlers pool and a large sun terrace area ensures that there’s something for everyone.
