This is fairly small but wonderfully friendly campsite and makes the perfect place to relax on a camping holiday.
The campsites name originates because there are the remains of an old Roman road a short distance from the campsite.
One of the best things about the campsite is its fantastic location. It occupies a great position on a strip of land between the Corsican mountains and the beautiful Mediterranean sea. Furthermore, both of these offer a wealth of different activities to keep you busy.
The mountains are brilliant for enjoying some stunning scenery and also some great activities. These include climbing, cycling, hiking, canyoning and horse riding. In contrast the sea and beach offer something completely different. Diving, snorkelling, swimming other activities are easily available nearby or you can just relax in the sun.
If you’re looking to get out and explore the island then you’ll find it easy to do so. To the west is Napoleon’s birthplace, Ajaccio, whilst to the north you can visit Bastia. Furthermore to the south you have Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio.
The nearest beach to the campsite is just 4km away and here you’ll find a lovely sandy beach thats perfect for families of all ages. The sand is ideal for children to play in or for you to sun bathe and relax. The warm waters are lovely and relaxing and are therefore great for swimming.
Back on-site you’ll find a pleasant swimming pool and sun terrace area which are great for relaxing at the end of a long days exploring.
