Le Ranolien Pool

Camping Le Ranolien is part of the Yelloh Village group of sites. It, therefore, boasts a brilliant range of activities and facilities on-site and nearby.

One of the best things about Le Ranolien campsite is its location. This is because its within walking distance of the coast. Views from the site are lovely and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The beautiful Cote de Granit Rose is a nature lovers paradise. Furthermore, the area is also great for walkers and hikers. The nearby coastal footpath is perfect for exploring this part of Brittany.

You can find two wonderful sandy beaches nearby. The first, although small is just 10 minutes walk away. The second is slightly further afield but can easily be reached in 20 minutes. The best beach is at Perros-Guirec and is popular because it has lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to explore. Both beaches are great for a day out with lots of things to do. Search the rock pools for a variety of sea creatures or build sandcastles, the choice is yours!

The swimming pool complex at Le Ranolien campsite sets it far ahead of others in the area. It’s perfect for family holidays because it has 6 swimming pools and a number of great slides. Furthermore, there is also plenty of sun terrace for sunbathing and relaxing.

Aquarium Marin de Tregastel

The aquarium is not the biggest in the region however it is unique. The aquarium lies amongst the pink granite rocks and has three separate areas. Thea include a sea spray zone, a tidal zone and sublittoral zone. Each area is unique in it’s own way. Children love the spray zone the most as they can get up and close with many of the sea creatures.


Perros-Guirec is a fantastic seaside resort which is highly popular with tourists and locals. There are plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants at Perros-Guirec. However most people visit for the great beaches. Located along the Cote de Granite Rose (Pink Granite Coast) there are lots of lovely quality beaches to explore. Furthermore the distinctive pink coloured rocks provide the perfect backdrop for many a photo.


Lannion is a typical Breton town not far from Le Ranolien which has its fair share of quaint streets filled with history and charm. Its streets boast some very impressive Breton houses with the best being located in Place de General Leclerc. The half timber medieval houses are well worth visiting as is the wonderful Brelevenez Church which was built in the 12th century and is accessed by climbing up one hundred and forty two steps. Although it’s a long way up the views are well worth it!

Le Village Gaulois

Le Village Gaulois boasts a great number of activities. The site is run by an aid organisation who raise money for projects in Africa. Le Village Gaulois is great if you want to spend some quality time having fun then give it a go! It’s cheap entry fee makes it well worth the money with lots of activities to keep the whole family happy.

Planetarium de Bretagne

The Planetarium de Bretagne lies 10km to the south west of Le Ranolien campsite. The planetariums hemisphere shaped auditorium is huge and one of the biggest in Europe. It provides a 360 degree, high definition projection of the stars and there are a variety of shows for children. Some are also in English however it’s best to check before attending.
