Le Clarys Plage is one of the most popular campsites in the region, set in the northern part of the Vendee close to the town of St Jean de Monts.

It is a modern campsite with some great facilities, in one of the best locations we have seen!

Set just inside the campsite lies the superb pool complex which is suitable for children of all ages. The complex was large before but has been extended in 2011 to include a water playground which is sure to keep your kids busy for the entire holiday.

The pool at Le Clarys Plage is similar in style to a water theme park with large areas for relaxing, reading and lazing around, complete with sun loungers, along with areas for all to enjoy the water.

If your children enjoy the fun of water slides and chutes then they will not be disappointed by Le Clarys Plage. The complex provides water slides for all ages with even the youngest of swimmers having their own multi lane slide with suitable water playground equipment.

The complex has various pools, lagoons and rivers where you can swim and relax whilst your children make use of the water fun park. Here your children will create their own magical worlds fighting the hydra or snake, capturing the Greek galley, tower fortress and tunnel.

Within the pool complex your children will be able to make friends and let their imaginations run wild providing them with the perfect holiday.

Camping at Le Clarys Plage

We love the pool complex at Le Clarys Plage
but the thing we love most is the campsites proximity to the beach. Less than a 15 minute walk from the campsite you will find a lovely gently shelving sandy beach. The Vendee has many of these types of beaches with many also holding the accredited blue flag status for cleanliness.

Le Clarys Plage is well situated being only a short distance from the local town of St Jean de Monts and having a supermarket and various restaurants a stones throw away.

The on site facilities are very good with various activities and evening entertainment being available during peak times. Le Clarys Plage does not have a restaurant but does boast a very nice bar and takeaway area which provides a welcome change from home cooking and BBQ’s.

We loved Le Clarys Plage for the general range of facilities it provides and especially the added extras which are aimed at the UK traveller including English and Irish satellite TV along with free Wi-Fi access in the bar area.
