Saint Avit Loisirs Charge Card
The Saint Avit Loisirs charge card is a very clever idea which we haven’t come across before on our travels camping in France.
Saint Avit Loisirs is a brilliant campsite which we visited this summer and can be found near to Le Bugue in the Dordogne region of France.
You can read all about our trip to Saint Avit Loisirs in our review. When we arrived at the campsite we booked into reception and were informed about the Saint Avit Loisirs Charge Card.
Using the Charge Card
On checking in at reception at the beginning of our holiday the staff member asked us if we wanted one and we decided that it was a great idea. The staff member took a note of our credit card and we were issued with the card.
The card can be used throughout the campsite to pay for goods and services. All shopping you buy at the campsite supermarket, any food you buy at the restaurant or take away, any drinks you buy at the bar and any of the onsite activities can be paid for with the card.
Each time you make a purchase you are given a receipt as you normally would but on the bottom of the receipt, it not only tells you how much your transaction cost but it also tells you how much you’ve used in total allowing you to keep track of your spending.
We found it extremely useful as it meant that we didn’t have to worry about going to a local bank or atm to get cash. It also meant that when we went to the pool or playground, I didn’t have to carry my wallet with me and we could also keep better track of our spending whilst on holiday.
Saint Avit Loisirs have also teamed up with some fantastic local partners where you can receive a variety of discounts for producing your Saint Avit Loisirs charge card.
With the charge card you can receive discounts at attractions such as Gouffre de Proumeyssac, Grotte de Bara Bahau, Paintball Perigord, La Roque St Christophe, Chateau de Monbazillac and many, many more.
Once your holiday is finished, you simply hand the card back into reception when you checkout and they will charge your credit or debit card accordingly.
Now, as we’ve said, you don’t have to take advantage of the Saint Avit Loisirs charge card, but we did find it very useful!
