Cost Effective Accommodation

Cost Effective Accommodation

One of the most appealing parts of a Eurocamp holiday is its cost effective accommodation because with self catering holiday homes you save money in two different ways.

Firstly, when you book a Eurocamp holiday you pay only for the accommodation irrespective of the number of people who travel. A 3 bedroom holiday home will sleep up to 8 adults, with 3 bedrooms each sleeping 2 and a sofa bed sleeping the final 2.

Therefore whether you are a family of 5,6,7 or even 8 you could still book the same accommodation type without having to pay extra. Many holiday companies charge per person or per room, which generally means that larger families often pay much more for a family holiday.

The second way you save money is being able to choose the accommodation you want, or can afford. Whether you prefer the simplicity of a tent, the comfort of a medium range holiday homes, or the luxury of the Ultimate holiday homes, Eurocamp has something to suit every budget and preference.

Compared to traditional hotels, Eurocamp accommodation often offers more spacious accommodations with outside space and cooking facilities at a fraction of the cost. This is what makes Eurocamp such an attractive choice for families or all ages.

Driving to the Eurocamp Site

Driving to the Eurocamp Site

If you have no option but to fly then you can still head off on a Eurocamp holiday but driving is another reason why Eurocamp holidays are value for money. Again there are several reasons why driving makes a Eurocamp holiday more affordable.

Flights are generally more expensive, the more people that travel whilst larger families driving to a Eurocamp parc will often fin it to be much cheaper.

The main benefit of driving is that you have the benefit of being able to take whatever you like instead of being forced to jam everything into a suitcase. Not only can you pack the bare essentials, but also take items such as washing up liquid, tea, sugar, dishwasher tablets, bin bags, olive oil, loo roll and many people even take food from their own kitchens.

Although supermarket shopping can be fairly cheap, if you take food and other items with you, it saves you spending money on holiday.

People don’t just take food to make their holiday more affordable. If you book a more expensive holiday home you often get bedding for free but the the rest you have a choice of paying or take your own. To save some money, take your own sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers, you’ll be surprised how much you’ll save.

Finally if you have space, think about taking bikes, scooters, paddleboards and inflatables. Bikes mean you can have lots of fun exploring and although they can be hired, taking your own will save money. If you have a lake nearby, a paddleboard provides tons of fun especially when you don’t have to pay for it.

Finally we’ve been to lots of campsites that have fantastic swimming pools or lakes. If either allow inflatables and rubber rings then we suggest you buy them in the UK as they can be more expensive in France and believe us your children will have so much fun with them.

Food and Drink

Food and Drink

As we mentioned above, self catering is the main thing that makes Eurocamp value for money. With the freedom to cook your own meals, comes huge savings on dining expenses.

One way we save money on holiday is to take our Ooni Pizza oven. Yes some campsites only allow gas BBQ’s but for those where you can use charcoal BBQ’s we also use our pizza oven.

We also make sure we take flour, yeast, tomato base and semolina from the cupboard but buy the toppings in the local supermarket. When you think a pizza at a restaurant would cost over 10 euros each, we can make them for a fraction of that which is a huge saving.

Fancy a beer or glass of wine, don’t worry each holiday home has a fridge so you don’t have to spend lots of money at a bar, simply buy cheap beer and wine at the supermarket.

Lots of Free Activities

Lots of Free Activities

What other holiday offers you lots of free activities? Eurocamp parcs are packed with activities to keep you and your family entertained throughout your stay.

Evening entertainment on most campsites comes free of charge with discos, music, quizzes and children’s entertainers being available on a daily basis.

The swimming pool complexes are second to none, with many campsites offering the sort of slides and pools you would have to pay for on many holidays. Some campsites even have lakes where you can fish, swim or play for free.

Many other sports activities such as football, pétanque and play parks are also free to use although some parcs also offer paid activities.

Finally some of the most popular Eurocamp parcs have free kids’ clubs where they can meet new friends, have fun and make holiday memories that will last a lifetime.

Early Booking, Seasonal Savings and Special Offers

Timing is key when it comes to getting the best value for your Eurocamp holiday. Booking early generally gets you some of the largest discounts but you can also make massive savings by traveling during off-peak seasons or taking advantage of special offers and discounts.

Special offers can significantly increase the value for money of a Eurocamp holiday so its well worth checking the special offer page first which can be found here.

If you have no option but to travel in the summer holidays then look at booking as close to the end of the holidays as possible. You’ll often find the final two weeks of the holidays before schools in the UK to be considerably cheaper than others.
