Eurocamp has in excess of 110 campsites in France and many more across the rest of Europe. From the sunny beaches of the Côte d’Azur and Languedoc and Roussillon to the beautiful Chateau and rivers of the Loire and Dordogne, Eurocamp offer a range of fantastic campsites in some truly beautiful locations.
Eurocamp has some of the best self-catering accommodation out of all the companies and these are perfect for those that love the outdoor lifestyle.
Much of Eurocamp’s accommodation comes in the form of mobile homes and holiday homes. However, they also have some lovely safari tents and classic frame tents for those who prefer the full camping experience.

We’ve picked our 10 best Eurocamp campsites in France based on the quality of their swimming pools, location, reviews and facilities. We’ve also done a price comparison for the 2020 camping season so you can see how they compare with the cheapest 2 bedroom holiday home shown.

The week we chose is Saturday 22nd August 2020 – Saturday 29th August 2020 because many families choose to travel from Saturday to Saturday and not during mid-week when prices are lower. Saint Avit Loisirs, Dordogne, France – Best for Swimming Pool
It won’t surprise anyone who’s been to Saint Avit Loisirs to see it on our list of the best Eurocamp campsites in France.
The campsite has lots to do on site and is located in a wonderful part of the Dordogne. To complement the fantastic range of activities on-site you’ll also find lots of great places to see and things to do nearby such as La Roque Gaejac, canoeing down the Dordogne river and the amazing Chateau Castelnaud.
The main reason we chose Saint Avit Loisirs, however, is for its fabulous swimming pool complex. This premier campsite has no less than six different pools. These include indoor heated family and children’s pools and four outside family swimming pools. You’ll also find a jacuzzi and a great range of water slides and chutes which provide bucket loads of fun. One of our favourite things about the swimming pool area at Saint Avit Loisirs is the children’s splash park. Filled with lots of colourful objects spurting water, the splash park is perfect for little ones who want to get wet!

Le Soleil, Roussillon, France – Best for Beach
If you’re looking for a campsite in France near to a beach then there really are tons to choose from however Le Soleil is our best Eurocamp campsite for the beach for several reasons.
Firstly the Roussillon region of France boasts some truly fantastic weather with plenty of sunshine and warm seas which is probably one of the main things most people look for in a beach holiday. Secondly, Le Soleil is the only campsite with direct beach access in Argelès-sur-Mer. Finally, there are plenty of watersports available on the beach and there are other beaches nearby.
The campsite also boasts a fantastic range of other facilities and activities to make your camping holiday really special. At the heart of Le Soleil is its impressive heated Californian-style swimming complex. There’s plenty of surrounding terraces to sunbathe on, plenty of evening entertainment and a mini market, restaurant and takeaway.

Club Farret, Languedoc, France – Best Car Free Holiday
If you don’t fancy the thought of driving in France then you’ll find plenty of campsites not far from an airport. We’ve chosen Club Farret as our best Eurocamp car-free campsite for two reasons. Firstly for its distance from the airport but also the fact, there are plenty of things to do nearby without needing a car.
Club Farret is only 8km from Béziers airport. From the airport, it’s a short taxi ride direct to the campsite.
One thing we love about the campsite is its fantastic lagoon-style pool complex, spa and jacuzzi. Great for all members of the family, the pool provides the perfect place to relax in the warm summer sun.
This campsite also offers three fantastic play areas for kids and a range of outdoor activities and lively evening entertainment.
To finish off, Club Farret also has access to a terrific beach which is a short distance away. All of these great benefits make Club Farret perfect for a car-free holiday in France.

Les Mouettes, Brittany – Best for Ferry
Our best Eurocamp campsite for the ferry has been chosen due to its quality and closeness to one of the cross channel ferry ports. Just because you’d rather take your car to France it doesn’t mean that you have to drive a long way.
Therefore our best for the ferry is Les Mouettes near Carantac in Brittany. Located just 21 minutes drive from Roscoff ferry port, Les Mouettes is a great campsite with lots of benefits.
Part of the Yelloh Village group of campsites, Les Mouettes offers a fantastic location a short distance from the beach. You’ll also find some great activities and facilities on-site including a brilliant swimming pool complex with some of the best slides in Brittany.
In addition to the swimming pool, you’ll also find some great activities for kids, a great bar, restaurant and takeaway along with some enjoyable evening entertainment.

Les Alicourts, Loire – Best for Chateau
If you’re looking for campsites that are the best for exploring French Chateau then it clearly has to be a campsite in the Loire.
Les Alicourts occupies a wonderful position deep in the Loire countryside whilst being close enough to many of these fantastic historic buildings. The most famous and awe-inspiring of these is the Chateau Chambord which was once the kings hunting residence.
Along with the fantastic location, Les Alicourts features as one of the best Eurocamp campsites in France due to its excellent range of activities and facilities on-site.
Firstly there’s a 9 hole golf course, a beautiful lake and beach, fishing, massive playground, spa, multisports area and we haven’t even mentioned the swimming pool complex yet.
The swimming pool features a wave pool, indoor pool with a retractable roof and a number of fantastic slides which are great fun for all the family.

La Croix du Vieux Pont, Paris – Best for Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is a highly popular theme park and it’s really not surprising. If you’re looking for the best Eurocamp campsite for visiting Disneyland Paris then there’s only one real winner in our opinion, La Croix du Vieux Pont.
La Croix du Vieux Pont is just 90 minutes from Disneyland Paris and offers much more than many other campsites in the area.
Offering four swimming pools, including one with a retractable roof, slides and lots of places to soak up the sun, the swimming pool complex is just one great thing about the campsite.
Add to this a bar, two restaurants, canoeing, tennis, karting, a bowling alley, laser tag, lake and the sights and sounds of nearby Paris and you have a truly magnificent campsite on your hands.

La Pointe St Gilles, Brittany – Best for Toddlers
Now when it comes to best for toddlers we’ve chosen a real family favourite, La Pointe St Gilles in Brittany.
Now Eurocamp specialises in providing only the best family-friendly campsites in France. So as you can see there are likely to be many that would fit the bill for best for toddlers.
We have however chosen our favourite based on a number of things. When you have young children generally you don’t really want to travel too far, you want great facilities, a good swimming pool and maybe a beach.
La Pointe St Gilles has all of these in abundance. The parc is located in Brittany in northern France and is quite easily reached in a short distance from several ports.
You’ll also find, similar to other Eurocamp campsites, their children’s clubs all on-site. There’s also a small beach just outside the entrance, and the larger resort of Bénodet a short stroll away.
Finally on-site there’s a lovely swimming pool complex with several pools fit for the family and a toddlers pool with slides.

La Vallee, Normandy – Best for History
We know that France clearly has a vast amount of history but Normandy offers a unique insight into the Norman Conquest and more importantly WW2.
On a trip to Normandy, you can learn more about this significant time in modern history. From the iconic beaches to the museums, cemeteries and awe-inspiring stories of the brave men that fought and also died there.
We’ve therefore chosen the best Eurocamp campsite for history to be La Vallee.
La Vallee is one of the regions best campsites by far. Occupying a stunning rural setting, La Valle lies only a stones throw from a number of great beaches.
You’ll also find hundreds of historic WW2 sites available within a short drive of the campsite. The D-Day landing beaches are just along the coast and you’ll also find a number of museums nearby.
When not exploring the history of the region you can make use of the campsites facilities which include a number of excellent facilities which are housed in beautifully converted Norman buildings.
On-site you’ll also find a fantastic swimming pool area with two pools and some fantastic waterslides, including a brilliant space bowl slide.

La Rive, Gascony – Best for Watersports
Watersports are great fun, keep you active and ensure you keep cool in the hot summer sun.
The best Eurocamp campsite for watersports in our opinion is La Rive near Biscarosse.
La Rive is located on a large lake and only a short drive from the local beaches. Although the coast provides some great watersport opportunities we chose La Rive due to its fantastic lake.
On its own lakeside beach, you’ll find Bruno and his range of watersports for hire. These include SUP’s, canoes, catamarans, flyboard, oxoon, wakeboarding and an inflatable banana boat.
Add to the fantastic watersports a brilliant swimming pool complex, range of activities and some of the best facilities on a campsite we’ve seen and you really do find something quite special.

Domaine de Chalain, Jura – Best for Lakes
Domaine de Chalain has to be one of the best campsites with a lake that we’ve seen.
Domaine de Chalain is our best for lakes parc because it’s perfect for anyone wanting to spend their holiday gazing out across a beautiful lake with stunning scenery and views as far as the eye can see.
This stunning campsite is a paradise for walkers. Located at the foothills of the Jura mountains and surrounded by the lake and forest you’ll find plenty of places to walk.
Set in the grounds of an old château, the campsites boasts a great range of activities.
The lake is large and offers a variety of watersports including fishing, swimming, canoeing, pedalos and there is also a lovely beach where you can just sit and relax.
The campsite also features a fantastic swimming pool complex which has an outdoor and indoor heated pool, children’s pool and slides.
