How to get to Disneyland Paris

How to get to Disneyland Paris is a question that comes up time and time again. Getting to the place where dreams are brought to life couldn’t be easier when the park is just 20 miles from Paris.

There are several ways to get to Disneyland Paris including by car, plane, train and by bus. In this blog post we’ll aim to give you an overview of each of the travel options to help you decide which one is best for you.

Getting there by car

Disneyland Paris is perfectly placed within easy reach of the A4 autoroute. Such close motorway links mean that it’s incredibly easy to get to Disneyland Paris by car.

If you’re travelling from the UK by car then you’ll need to travel by Eurotunnel or by ferry.

The quickest ferry route from the UK is from Dover to Calais with P&O ferries or with DFDS Seaways.

The journey from Dover to Calais takes around 90 minutes with approximately 20 sailings a day. Once you reach Calais the journey couldn’t be easier. After going onto the A1 at Calais, you head down the A26, A104 and A4 before finally reaching the park some 3 hours later.

If you decide on the Eurotunnel then the journey is even quicker at just 35 minutes. Once in Calais you take the same route as you would with the ferry reaching Disneyland Paris 3 hours later.

Getting there by plane

Travelling to Disneyland Paris by plane has never been easier. There are hundreds of flights into Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and Orly airport from the UK each and every day. Therefore it’s easy to book cheap flights from the UK to France, from any region of the UK.

When you’ve arrived at your chosen airport you then have the task of getting to the park. This is simple depending upon how you wish to travel. There are several options available to you including car rental, the Magical Shuttle Airport Bus or train.

Rental cars are easily available but can prove to be expensive especially if you’re just planning on heading to Disneyland Paris and nothing else.

The Magic Shuttle Airport bus is a fantastic option for those wanting a stress free transfer. Regular buses travel from Orly airport and Charles de Gaulle airport direct to the park in just 60 minutes. If you want a relaxing and stress free journey then this is the way to travel.

Getting there by train

Believe it or not travelling to Disneyland Paris from the UK by train is really simple.

Eurostar makes train travel from the UK to France exceedingly easy with trains running from any station in the UK. Changes in trains may be applicable depending upon which station you choose to travel from but from London there are direct services.

Trains from London International St Pancras station direct to Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station take just 2hrs and 49 minutes. The station is just 2 minutes walk away from Disneyland Paris and there are even free shuttle buses available.

If you’re thinking that this sort of train service would be highly expensive, you’d be wrong. Furthermore, we’ve found a return fare direct from London to Disneyland Paris during the April 2019 Easter holiday that costs just £76 per person!
